Judges 9:17

my father fought for you; he risked his life ¹  and delivered you from Midian’s power. ² 

and to think that my father fought for you, risked his life to rescue you from the hand of Midian

for my father fought for you and risked his life and delivered you from the hand of Midian;

For he fought for you and risked his life when he rescued you from the Midianites.

My father fought for you, risked his own life, and rescued you from Midian's tyranny,

(For my father made war for you, and put his life in danger, and made you free from the hands of Midian;

for my father fought for you, and risked his life, and rescued you from the hand of Midian;

"for my father fought for you, risked his life, and delivered you out of the hand of Midian;

my father fought for you; he risked his life ¹  and delivered you from Midian’s power. ² 

¹ tc Heb “threw his life out in front,” that is, “exposed himself to danger.” The MT form מִנֶּגֶד (minneged, “from before”) should probably be read as מִנֶּגְדּוֹ (minnegdo, “from before him”); haplography of vav has likely occurred here in the MT.
