Isaiah 48:11

For my sake alone ¹  I will act, for how can I allow my name to be defiled? ²  I will not share my glory with anyone else! ³ 

For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this. How can I let myself be defamed? I will not yield my glory to another.

"For My own sake, for My own sake, I will act; For how can My name be profaned? And My glory I will not give to another.

I will rescue you for my sake––yes, for my own sake! That way, the pagan nations will not be able to claim that their gods have conquered me. I will not let them have my glory!

Out of myself, simply because of who I am, I do what I do. I have my reputation to keep up. I'm not playing second fiddle to either gods or people.

For myself, even because of my name, I will do it; for I will not let my name be shamed; and my glory I will not give to another.

For my own sake, for my own sake, I do it, for why should my name be profaned? My glory I will not give to another.

For My own sake, for My own sake, I will do it ; For how should My name be profaned? And I will not give My glory to another.
