Exodus 40:36

But when the cloud was lifted up ¹  from the tabernacle, the Israelites would set out ²  on all their journeys;

In all the travels of the Israelites, whenever the cloud lifted from above the tabernacle, they would set out;

Throughout all their journeys whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the sons of Israel would set out;

Now whenever the cloud lifted from the Tabernacle and moved, the people of Israel would set out on their journey, following it.

Whenever the Cloud lifted from The Dwelling, the People of Israel set out on their travels,

And whenever the cloud was taken up from the House, the children of Israel went forward on their journey:

Whenever the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, the Israelites would set out on each stage of their journey;

Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, the children of Israel would go onward in all their journeys.

But when the cloud was lifted up ¹  from the tabernacle, the Israelites would set out ²  on all their journeys;

¹ tn The construction uses the Niphal infinitive construct to form the temporal clause.

² tn The imperfect tense in this context describes a customary action.
