Ephesians 5:11

Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather ¹  expose them. ² 

Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them;

Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, rebuke and expose them.

Don't waste your time on useless work, mere busywork, the barren pursuits of darkness. Expose these things for the sham they are.

And have no company with the works of the dark, which give no fruit, but make their true quality clear;

Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them .

¹ tn The Greek conjunction καὶ (kai) seems to be functioning here ascensively, (i.e., “even”), but is difficult to render in this context using good English. It may read something like: “but rather even expose them!”
