Acts 8:36

Now as they were going along the road, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “Look, there is water! What is to stop me ¹  from being baptized?”

As they travelled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. Why shouldn’t I be baptised?"

As they went along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch *said, "Look! Water! What prevents me from being baptized?"

As they rode along, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, "Look! There’s some water! Why can’t I be baptized?"

As they continued down the road, they came to a stream of water. The eunuch said, "Here's water. Why can't I be baptized?"

And while they were going on their way, they came to some water, and the Ethiopian said, See, here is water; why may I not have baptism?

As they were going along the road, they came to some water; and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water! What is to prevent me from being baptized?"

Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, "See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?"

Now as they were going along the road, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “Look, there is water! What is to stop me ¹  from being baptized?”

¹ tn Or “What prevents me.” The rhetorical question means, “I should get baptized, right?”
