2 Kings 17:41

These nations are worshiping the Lord and at the same time serving their idols; their sons and grandsons do just as their fathers have done, to this very day.

Even while these people were worshipping the LORD, they were serving their idols. To this day their children and grandchildren continue to do as their fathers did.

So while these nations feared the LORD, they also served their idols; their children likewise and their grandchildren, as their fathers did, so they do to this day.

So while these new residents worshiped the LORD, they also worshiped their idols. And to this day their descendants do the same.

As it turned out, all the time these people were putting on a front of worshiping GOD, they were at the same time involved with their local idols. And they're still doing it. Like father, like son.

So these nations, worshipping the Lord, still were servants to the images they had made; their children and their children’s children did the same; as their fathers did, so do they, to this day.

So these nations worshiped the LORD, but also served their carved images; to this day their children and their children’s children continue to do as their ancestors did.
