2 Corinthians 8:15

as it is written: “The one who gathered ¹  much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little.” ² 

as it is written: "He who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little."

as it is written, "HE WHO gathered MUCH DID NOT HAVE TOO MUCH, AND HE WHO gathered LITTLE HAD NO LACK."

Do you remember what the Scriptures say about this? "Those who gathered a lot had nothing left over, and those who gathered only a little had enough."

As it is written, Nothing left over to the one with the most, Nothing lacking to the one with the least.

As it says in the Writings, He who had taken up much had nothing over and he who had little had enough.

As it is written, "The one who had much did not have too much, and the one who had little did not have too little."

As it is written, "He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack."

¹ tn The word “gathered” is not in the Greek text, but is implied (so also for the second occurrence of the word later in the verse).
