They seized her and took her into the precincts of the royal palace through the horses’ entrance. ¹  There they executed her.

So they seized her as she reached the entrance of the Horse Gate on the palace grounds, and there they put her to death.

So they seized her, and when she arrived at the entrance of the Horse Gate of the king’s house, they put her to death there.

So they seized her and led her out to the gate where horses enter the palace grounds, and they killed her there.

So they dragged her out to the palace's horse corral and there they killed her.

¹ tn Heb “and they placed hands on her, and she went through the entrance of the gate of the horses [into] the house of the king.” Some English versions treat the phrase “gate of the horses” as the name of the gate (“the Horse Gate”; e.g., NAB, NASB, NIV, NRSV).
