1 Corinthians 3:2

I fed you milk, ¹  not solid food, for you were not yet ready. In fact, you are still not ready,

I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready.

I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able,

I had to feed you with milk and not with solid food, because you couldn’t handle anything stronger. And you still aren’t ready,

capable of nothing much more than nursing at the breast. Well, then, I'll nurse you since you don't seem capable of anything more.

I gave you milk and not meat, because you were, then, unable to take it, and even now you are not able;

I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for solid food. Even now you are still not ready,

I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it , and even now you are still not able;

¹ sn Milk refers figuratively to basic or elementary Christian teaching. Paul’s point was that the Corinthian believers he was writing to here were not mature enough to receive more advanced teaching. This was not a problem at the time, when they were recent converts, but the problem now is that they are still not ready.
