1 Corinthians 1:23

but we preach about a crucified Christ, ¹  a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles.

but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling-block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,

but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness,

So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are offended, and the Gentiles say it’s all nonsense.

we go right on proclaiming Christ, the Crucified. Jews treat this like an [anti]-miracle--and Greeks pass it off as absurd.

But we give the good news of Christ on the cross, a hard thing to the Jews, and a foolish thing to the Gentiles;

but we proclaim Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,

but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness,

but we preach about a crucified Christ, ¹  a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles.
