The noun אֶזְרָח (’ezrakh, “native, full citizen”) refers elsewhere to people, but here, where it is collocated with “luxuriant, green,” it probably refers to a tree growing in native soil.

⁷ tn Heb “come near my life and redeem it.” The verb “redeem” casts the Lord in the role of a leader who protects members of his extended family in times of need and crisis (see Ps 19:14).

⁸ tn Heb “and her priests I will clothe [with] deliverance.”

⁹ tn Heb “[with] shouting they will shout.” The infinitive absolute is used to emphasize the verb.
