Psalms 10:11

10:11 He says to himself, 1 

“God overlooks it;

he does not pay attention;

he never notices.” 2 

Psalms 112:7

Context

112:7 He does not fear bad news.

He 3  is confident; he trusts 4  in the Lord.

1 tn Heb “he says in his heart.” See v. 6.

2 tn Heb “God forgets, he hides his face, he never sees.”

3 tn Heb “his heart,” viewed here as the seat of the volition and emotions (see Ps 108:1).

4 tn The passive participle בָּטֻחַ [בָּטוּחַ] (batuakh [batuakh]) expresses a state that results from the subject’s action. See Isa 26:3.
