Ezekiel 30:21

30:21 “Son of man, I have broken the arm 1  of Pharaoh king of Egypt. 2  Look, it has not been bandaged for healing or set with a dressing so that it might become strong enough to grasp a sword.

Ezekiel 34:4

Context
34:4 You have not strengthened the weak, healed the sick, bandaged the injured, brought back the strays, or sought the lost, but with force and harshness 3  you have ruled over them.

1 sn The expression “breaking the arm” indicates the removal of power (Ps 10:15; 37:17; Job 38:15; Jer 48:25).

2 sn This may refer to the event recorded in Jer 37:5.

3 tn The term translated “harshness” is used to describe the oppression the Israelites suffered as slaves in Egypt (Exod 1:13).
