Revelation 12:2

She ¹  was pregnant and was screaming in labor pains, struggling ²  to give birth.

She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth.

and she was with child; and she *cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth.

She was pregnant, and she cried out in the pain of labor as she awaited her delivery.

She was giving birth to a Child and cried out in the pain of childbirth.

And she was with child; and she gave a cry, in the pains of childbirth.

She was pregnant and was crying out in birthpangs, in the agony of giving birth.

Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.

² tn Grk “and being tortured,” though βασανίζω (basanizw) in this context refers to birth pangs. BDAG 168 s.v. 2.b states, “Of birth-pangs (Anth. Pal. 9, 311 βάσανος has this mng.) Rv 12:2.” The καί (kai) has not been translated.
