Psalms 78:42

They did not remember what he had done, ¹  how he delivered them from the enemy, ² 

They did not remember his power—the day he redeemed them from the oppressor,

They did not remember His power, The day when He redeemed them from the adversary,

They forgot about his power and how he rescued them from their enemies.

How quickly they forgot what he'd done, forgot their day of rescue from the enemy,

They did not keep in mind the work of his hand, or the day when he took them from the power of their haters;

They did not keep in mind his power, or the day when he redeemed them from the foe;

They did not remember His power: The day when He redeemed them from the enemy,

They did not remember what he had done, ¹  how he delivered them from the enemy, ² 

¹ tn Heb “his hand,” symbolizing his saving activity and strength, as the next line makes clear.

² tn Heb “[the] day [in] which he ransomed them from [the] enemy.”
