Psalms 25:7

Do not hold against me ¹  the sins of my youth ²  or my rebellious acts! Because you are faithful to me, extend to me your favor, O Lord! ³ 

Remember not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you are good, O LORD.

Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; According to Your lovingkindness remember me, For Your goodness’ sake, O LORD.

Forgive the rebellious sins of my youth; look instead through the eyes of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O LORD.

Forget that I sowed wild oats; Mark me with your sign of love. Plan only the best for me, GOD!

Do not keep in mind my sins when I was young, or my wrongdoing: let your memory of me be full of mercy, O Lord, because of your righteousness.

Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to your steadfast love remember me, for your goodness’ sake, O LORD!

Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; According to Your mercy remember me, For Your goodness’ sake, O LORD.

¹ tn Heb “do not remember,” with the intention of punishing.

² sn That is, the sins characteristic of youths, who lack moral discretion and wisdom.

³ tn Heb “according to your faithfulness, remember me, you, for the sake of your goodness, O Lord.”
