Psalms 109:23

I am fading away like a shadow at the end of the day; ¹  I am shaken off like a locust.

I fade away like an evening shadow; I am shaken off like a locust.

I am passing like a shadow when it lengthens; I am shaken off like the locust.

I am fading like a shadow at dusk; I am falling like a grasshopper that is brushed aside.

I'm fading away to nothing, passing away, my youth gone, old before my time.

I am gone like the shade when it is stretched out: I am forced out of my place like a locust.

I am gone like a shadow at evening; I am shaken off like a locust.

I am gone like a shadow when it lengthens; I am shaken off like a locust.

I am fading away like a shadow at the end of the day; ¹  I am shaken off like a locust.

¹ tn Heb “like a shadow when it is extended I go.” He is like a late afternoon shadow made by the descending sun that will soon be swallowed up by complete darkness. See Ps 102:11.
