Acts 13:19

After ¹  he had destroyed ²  seven nations ³  in the land of Canaan, he gave his people their land as an inheritance. ⁴ 

he overthrew seven nations in Canaan and gave their land to his people as their inheritance.

"When He had destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, He distributed their land as an inheritance— all of which took about four hundred and fifty years.

Then he destroyed seven nations in Canaan and gave their land to Israel as an inheritance.

and then, having wiped out seven enemies who stood in the way, gave them the land of Canaan for their very own--

And having put to destruction seven nations in the land of Canaan, he gave them the land for their heritage for about four hundred and fifty years.

After he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, he gave them their land as an inheritance

"And when He had destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, He distributed their land to them by allotment.

After ¹  he had destroyed ²  seven nations ³  in the land of Canaan, he gave his people their land as an inheritance. ⁴ 

¹ tn Grk “And after.” Because of the difference between Greek style, which often begins sentences or clauses with “and,” and English style, which generally does not, καί (kai) has not been translated here.

² tn The participle καθελών (kaqelwn) is taken temporally.

³ sn Seven nations. See Deut 7:1.

⁴ tn Grk “he gave their land as an inheritance.” The words “his people” are supplied to complete an ellipsis specifying the recipients of the land.
