Psalms 88:6

You place me in the lowest regions of the pit, ¹  in the dark places, in the watery depths.

You have put me in the lowest pit, in the darkest depths.

You have put me in the lowest pit, In dark places, in the depths.

You have thrust me down to the lowest pit, into the darkest depths.

You've dropped me into a bottomless pit, sunk me in a pitch-black abyss.

You have put me in the lowest deep, even in dark places.

You have put me in the depths of the Pit, in the regions dark and deep.

You have laid me in the lowest pit, In darkness, in the depths.

You place me in the lowest regions of the pit, ¹  in the dark places, in the watery depths.

¹ tn The noun בּוֹר (bor, “pit,” “cistern”) is sometimes used of the grave and/or the realm of the dead. See v. 4.
