Psalms 25:3

Certainly none who rely on you will be humiliated. Those who deal in treachery will be thwarted ¹  and humiliated.

No-one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse.

Indeed, none of those who wait for You will be ashamed; Those who deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed.

No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced, but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others.

I've thrown in my lot with you; You won't embarrass me, will you? Or let my enemies get the best of me? Don't embarrass any of us Who went out on a limb for you. It's the traitors who should be humiliated.

Let no servant of yours be put to shame; may those be shamed who are false without cause.

Do not let those who wait for you be put to shame; let them be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous.

¹ tn Heb “those who deal in treachery in vain.” The adverb רֵיקָם (reqam, “in vain”) probably refers to the failure (or futility) of their efforts. Another option is to understand it as meaning “without cause” (cf. NIV “without excuse”; NRSV “wantonly treacherous”).
