Psalms 130:3

If you, O Lord, were to keep track of ¹  sins, O Lord, who could stand before you? ² 

If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand?

If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?

LORD, if you kept a record of our sins, who, O Lord, could ever survive?

If you, GOD, kept records on wrongdoings, who would stand a chance?

O Jah, if you took note of every sin, who would go free?

If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities, Lord, who could stand?

If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?

If you, O Lord, were to keep track of ¹  sins, O Lord, who could stand before you? ² 

¹ tn Heb “observe.”

² tn The words “before you” are supplied in the translation for clarification. The psalmist must be referring to standing before God’s judgment seat. The rhetorical question expects the answer, “No one.”
