Psalms 124:4

The water would have overpowered us; the current ¹  would have overwhelmed ²  us. ³ 

the flood would have engulfed us, the torrent would have swept over us,

Then the waters would have engulfed us, The stream would have swept over our soul;

The waters would have engulfed us; a torrent would have overwhelmed us.

Swept away by the flood of rage, drowned in the torrent;

We would have been covered by the waters; the streams would have gone over our soul;

then the flood would have swept us away, the torrent would have gone over us;

Then the waters would have overwhelmed us, The stream would have gone over our soul;

The water would have overpowered us; the current ¹  would have overwhelmed ²  us. ³
