Psalms 106:31

This brought him a reward, an eternal gift. ¹ 

This was credited to him as righteousness for endless generations to come.

And it was reckoned to him for righteousness, To all generations forever.

So he has been regarded as a righteous man ever since that time.

This was counted to his credit; his descendants will never forget it.

And all the generations coming after him kept the memory of his righteousness for ever.

And that has been reckoned to him as righteousness from generation to generation forever.

And that was accounted to him for righteousness To all generations forevermore.

This brought him a reward, an eternal gift. ¹ 

¹ tn Heb “and it was reckoned to him for righteousness, to a generation and a generation forever.” The verb חָשַׁב (khashav, “to reckon”) is collocated with צְדָקָה (tsÿdaqah, “righteousness”) only in Ps 106:31 and Gen 15:6, where God rewards Abram’s faith with a land grant.
