Numbers 17:4

You must place them ¹  in the tent of meeting before the ark of the covenant ²  where I meet with you.

Place them in the Tent of Meeting in front of the Testimony, where I meet with you.

"You shall then deposit them in the tent of meeting in front of the testimony, where I meet with you.

Put these staffs in the Tabernacle in front of the Ark of the Covenant, where I meet with you.

Now lay them out in the Tent of Meeting in front of The Testimony where I keep appointments with you.

And let them be stored up in the Tent of meeting, in front of the ark of witness where I come to you.

Place them in the tent of meeting before the covenant, where I meet with you.

"Then you shall place them in the tabernacle of meeting before the Testimony, where I meet with you.

You must place them ¹  in the tent of meeting before the ark of the covenant ²  where I meet with you.

¹ tn The verb is the Hiphil perfect of נוּחַ (nuakh, “to rest”), and so “to set at rest, lay, place, put.” The form with the vav (ו) consecutive continues the instruction of the previous verse.

² tn The Hebrew text simply reads “the covenant” or “the testimony.”
