Numbers 14:13

Moses said to the Lord, “When the Egyptians hear ¹  it – for you brought up this people by your power from among them –

Moses said to the LORD, "Then the Egyptians will hear about it! By your power you brought these people up from among them.

But Moses said to the LORD, "Then the Egyptians will hear of it, for by Your strength You brought up this people from their midst,

"But what will the Egyptians think when they hear about it?" Moses pleaded with the LORD. "They know full well the power you displayed in rescuing these people from Egypt.

But Moses said to GOD, "The Egyptians are going to hear about this! You delivered this people from Egypt with a great show of strength, and now this?

And Moses said to the Lord, Then it will come to the ears of the Egyptians; for by your power you took this people out from among them;

But Moses said to the LORD, "Then the Egyptians will hear of it, for in your might you brought up this people from among them,

And Moses said to the LORD: "Then the Egyptians will hear it , for by Your might You brought these people up from among them,

Moses said to the Lord, “When the Egyptians hear ¹  it – for you brought up this people by your power from among them –

¹ tn The construction is unusual in that we have here a perfect tense with a vav (ו) consecutive with no verb before it to establish the time sequence. The context requires that this be taken as a vav (ו) consecutive. It actually forms the protasis for the next verse, and would best be rendered “when…then they will say.”
