Matthew 18:29

Then his fellow slave threw himself down and begged him, ¹  ‘Be patient with me, and I will repay you.’

"His fellow-servant fell to his knees and begged him, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.’

"So his fellow slave fell to the ground and began to plead with him, saying, ‘Have patience with me and I will repay you.’

His fellow servant fell down before him and begged for a little more time. ‘Be patient and I will pay it,’ he pleaded.

"The poor wretch threw himself down and begged, 'Give me a chance and I'll pay it all back.'

So that servant went down on his face, requesting him and saying, Give me time and I will make payment to you.

Then his fellow slave fell down and pleaded with him, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you.’

"So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’

Then his fellow slave threw himself down and begged him, ¹  ‘Be patient with me, and I will repay you.’

¹ tn Grk “begged him, saying.” The participle λέγων (legwn) is redundant here in contemporary English and has not been translated.
