Mark 10:41

Now ¹  when the other ten ²  heard this, ³  they became angry with James and John.

When the ten heard about this, they became indignant with James and John.

Hearing this, the ten began to feel indignant with James and John.

When the ten other disciples discovered what James and John had asked, they were indignant.

When the other ten heard of this conversation, they lost their tempers with James and John.

And hearing this, the ten became very angry with James and John.

When the ten heard this, they began to be angry with James and John.

And when the ten heard it , they began to be greatly displeased with James and John.

Now ¹  when the other ten ²  heard this, ³  they became angry with James and John.

¹ tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “now” to indicate the transition to a new topic.

³ tn The word “this” is not in the Greek text, but is supplied. Direct objects were often omitted in Greek when clear from the context.
