Luke 15:11

Then ¹  Jesus ²  said, “A man had two sons.

Jesus continued: "There was a man who had two sons.

And He said, "A man had two sons.

To illustrate the point further, Jesus told them this story: "A man had two sons.

Then he said, "There was once a man who had two sons.

And he said, A certain man had two sons:

Then Jesus said, "There was a man who had two sons.

Then He said: "A certain man had two sons.

Then ¹  Jesus ²  said, “A man had two sons.

¹ tn Here δέ (de) has been translated as “then” to indicate the implied sequence of events within the narrative.

² tn Grk “he”; the referent (Jesus) has been specified in the translation for clarity.
