Luke 12:16

He then ¹  told them a parable: ²  “The land of a certain rich man produced ³  an abundant crop,

And he told them this parable: "The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop.

And He told them a parable, saying, "The land of a rich man was very productive.

And he gave an illustration: "A rich man had a fertile farm that produced fine crops.

Then he told them this story: "The farm of a certain rich man produced a terrific crop.

And he said to them, in a story, The land of a certain man of great wealth was very fertile:

Then he told them a parable: "The land of a rich man produced abundantly.

Then He spoke a parable to them, saying: "The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully.

He then ¹  told them a parable: ²  “The land of a certain rich man produced ³  an abundant crop,

¹ tn Grk “And he.” Here δέ (de) has been translated as “then” to indicate the connection to the preceding statement.

² tn Grk “a parable, saying.” The participle λέγων (legwn) is redundant in contemporary English and has not been translated here.

³ tn Or “yielded a plentiful harvest.”
