Lamentations 3:43

ס (Samek) You shrouded yourself ¹  with anger and then pursued us; you killed without mercy.

"You have covered yourself with anger and pursued us; you have slain without pity.

You have covered Yourself with anger And pursued us; You have slain and have not spared.

"You have engulfed us with your anger, chased us down, and slaughtered us without mercy.

"You lost your temper with us, holding nothing back. You chased us and cut us down without mercy.

Covering yourself with wrath you have gone after us, cutting us off without pity;

You have wrapped yourself with anger and pursued us, killing without pity;

You have covered Yourself with anger And pursued us; You have slain and not pitied.

ס (Samek) You shrouded yourself ¹  with anger and then pursued us; you killed without mercy.

¹ tn Heb “covered.” The object must be supplied either from the next line (“covered yourself”) or from the end of this line (“covered us”).
