Joshua 6:7

And he told ¹  the army, ²  “Move ahead ³  and march around the city, with armed troops going ahead of the ark of the Lord.”

And he ordered the people, "Advance! March around the city, with the armed guard going ahead of the ark of the LORD."

Then he said to the people, "Go forward, and march around the city, and let the armed men go on before the ark of the LORD."

Then he gave orders to the people: "March around the city, and the armed men will lead the way in front of the Ark of the LORD."

Then he told the people, "Set out! March around the city. Have the armed guard march before the Chest of GOD."

And he said to the people, Go forward, circling the town, and let the armed men go before the ark of the Lord.

To the people he said, "Go forward and march around the city; have the armed men pass on before the ark of the LORD."

And he said to the people, "Proceed, and march around the city, and let him who is armed advance before the ark of the LORD."

And he told ¹  the army, ²  “Move ahead ³  and march around the city, with armed troops going ahead of the ark of the Lord.”

¹ tn An alternative reading is “and they said.” In this case the subject is indefinite and the verb should be translated as passive, “[the army] was told.”

² tn Heb “the people.”

³ tn Heb “pass by.”
