John 6:17

got into a boat, and started to cross the lake ¹  to Capernaum. ²  (It had already become dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.) ³ 

where they got into a boat and set off across the lake for Capernaum. By now it was dark, and Jesus had not yet joined them.

and after getting into a boat, they started to cross the sea to Capernaum. It had already become dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.

But as darkness fell and Jesus still hadn’t come back, they got into the boat and headed out across the lake toward Capernaum.

got in the boat, and headed back across the water to Capernaum. It had grown quite dark and Jesus had not yet returned.

And they took a boat and went across the sea in the direction of Capernaum. By then it was dark and still Jesus had not come to them.
