Hebrews 11:39

And these all were commended ¹  for their faith, yet they did not receive what was promised. ² 

These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised.

And all these, having gained approval through their faith, did not receive what was promised,

All of these people we have mentioned received God’s approval because of their faith, yet none of them received all that God had promised.

Not one of these people, even though their lives of faith were exemplary, got their hands on what was promised.

And not one of these got the good things of the agreement, though they all had a good record through faith,

Yet all these, though they were commended for their faith, did not receive what was promised,

And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise,

And these all were commended ¹  for their faith, yet they did not receive what was promised. ²
