Genesis 25:8

Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age, an old man who had lived a full life. ¹  He joined his ancestors. ² 

Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age, an old man and full of years; and he was gathered to his people.

Abraham breathed his last and died in a ripe old age, an old man and satisfied with life; and he was gathered to his people.

and he died at a ripe old age, joining his ancestors in death.

Then he took his final breath. He died happy at a ripe old age, full of years, and was buried with his family.

And Abraham came to his death, an old man, full of years; and he was put to rest with his people.

¹ tn Heb “old and full.”

² tn Heb “And he was gathered to his people.” In the ancient Israelite view he joined his deceased ancestors in Sheol, the land of the dead.
