Exodus 36:5

and told Moses, “The people are bringing much more than ¹  is needed for the completion ²  of the work which the Lord commanded us to do!” ³ 

and said to Moses, "The people are bringing more than enough for doing the work the LORD commanded to be done."

and they said to Moses, "The people are bringing much more than enough for the construction work which the LORD commanded us to perform."

"We have more than enough materials on hand now to complete the job the LORD has given us to do!" they exclaimed.

to Moses, saying, "The people are bringing more than enough for doing this work that GOD has commanded us to do!"

And said to Moses, The people are giving much more than is needed for the work which the Lord has given us orders to do.

and said to Moses, "The people are bringing much more than enough for doing the work that the LORD has commanded us to do."

and they spoke to Moses, saying, "The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the LORD commanded us to do."

and told Moses, “The people are bringing much more than ¹  is needed for the completion ²  of the work which the Lord commanded us to do!” ³ 

¹ tn The construction uses the verbal hendiadys: מַרְבִּים לְהָבִיא (marbim lÿhavi’) is the Hiphil participle followed (after the subject) by the Hiphil infinitive construct. It would read, “they multiply…to bring,” meaning, “they bring more” than is needed.

² tn Heb “for the service” (so KJV, ASV).

³ tn The last clause is merely the infinitive with an object – “to do it.” It clearly means the skilled workers are to do it.
