1 Corinthians 7:20

Let each one remain in that situation in life ¹  in which he was called.

Each one should remain in the situation which he was in when God called him.

Each man must remain in that condition in which he was called.

You should continue on as you were when God called you.

Stay where you were when God called your name.

Let every man keep the position in which he has been placed by God.

Let each of you remain in the condition in which you were called.

Let each one remain in the same calling in which he was called.

Let each one remain in that situation in life ¹  in which he was called.

¹ tn Grk “in the calling.” “Calling” in Paul is God’s work of drawing people to faith in Christ. As in 1:26, calling here stands by metonymy for a person’s circumstances when he becomes a Christian.
