1 Samuel 18:11

and Saul threw the spear, thinking, “I’ll nail David to the wall!” But David escaped from him on two different occasions.

and he hurled it, saying to himself, "I’ll pin David to the wall." But David eluded him twice.

Saul hurled the spear for he thought, "I will pin David to the wall." But David escaped from his presence twice.

suddenly hurled it at David, intending to pin him to the wall. But David jumped aside and escaped. This happened another time, too,

Suddenly Saul threw the spear, thinking, "I'll nail David to the wall." David ducked, and the spear missed. This happened twice.

And Saul, balancing the spear in his hand, said, I will give David a blow, pinning him to the wall. And David got away from him twice.

and Saul threw the spear, for he thought, "I will pin David to the wall." But David eluded him twice.

And Saul cast the spear, for he said, "I will pin David to the wall!" But David escaped his presence twice.
