Whether it is for punishment ¹  for his land, or whether it is for mercy, he causes it to find its mark. ² 

If anyone wants to do God’s will, ¹  he will know about my teaching, whether it is from God or whether I speak from my own authority. ² 

and see ¹  what the land is like, ²  and whether the people who live in it are strong or weak, few or many,

You must speak my words to them whether they listen or not, for they are rebellious.

For God will evaluate every deed, ¹  including every secret thing, whether good or evil.

Even a young man ¹  is known ²  by his actions, whether his activity is pure and whether it is right. ³ 

Whether then it was I or they, this is the way we preach and this is the way you believed.

And I know that this man (whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, God knows)

They said to him, “Seek a divine oracle for us, ¹  so we can know if we will be successful on our mission.” ² 

So then whether we are alive ¹  or away, we make it our ambition to please him. ² 

Now when Pilate heard this, he asked whether the man was a Galilean.

They ¹  called out to ask if Simon, known as Peter, ²  was staying there as a guest.

Sow your seed in the morning, and do not stop working ¹  until the evening; ²  for you do not know which activity ³  will succeed ⁴  – whether this one or that one, or whether both will prosper equally. ⁵ 

Be subject to every human institution ¹  for the Lord’s sake, whether to a king as supreme

and whether the land they live in is good or bad, and whether the cities they inhabit are like camps or fortified cities,

and whether the land is rich or poor, and whether or not there are forests in it. And be brave, ¹  and bring back some of the fruit of the land.” Now it was the time of year ²  for the first ripe grapes. ³ 

And as for them, ¹  whether they listen ²  or not – for they are a rebellious ³  house ⁴  – they will know that a prophet has been among them.

Go to the exiles, to your fellow countrymen, ¹  and speak to them – say to them, ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says,’ whether they pay attention or not.”

If we live, we live for the Lord; if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.

For how do you know, wife, whether you will bring your husband to salvation? ¹  Or how do you know, husband, whether you will bring your wife to salvation? ²
