But you must bring ¹  your youngest brother to me. Then ²  your words will be verified ³  and you will not die.” They did as he said. ⁴ 

Now, O Lord God of Israel, may the promise you made to your servant David be realized. ¹ 

David sent scouts and verified that Saul had indeed arrived. ¹ 

just as the testimony about Christ has been confirmed among you –

Now, O God of Israel, may the promise you made ¹  to your servant, my father David, be realized. ² 

Everything was verified ¹  by number and by weight, and the total weight was written down at that time.

Now this happened ¹  to fulfill the word that is written in their law, ‘They hated me without reason.’ ² 

He said this ¹  to fulfill the word he had spoken, ²  “I have not lost a single one of those whom you gave me.” ³ 

For these things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled, “Not a bone of his will be broken.” ¹ 

while God confirmed their witness ¹  with signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed ²  according to his will.

This is what we proclaim to you: ¹  what was from the beginning, ²  what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and our hands have touched (concerning the word of life –
