The Jews also joined in the verbal attack, ¹  claiming ²  that these things were true.

As for the heads of those who surround me – may the harm done by ¹  their lips overwhelm them!

This is how they will be repaid for their arrogance, ¹  for they taunted and verbally harassed ²  the people of the Lord who commands armies.
