As ¹  they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, ²  “Why are you untying that colt?”

Some people standing there said to them, “What are you doing, untying that colt?”

So ¹  they went and found a colt tied at a door, outside in the street, and untied it.

who is coming after me. I am not worthy ¹  to untie the strap ²  of his sandal!”

telling them, “Go to the village ahead of you. ¹  Right away you will find a donkey tied there, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to me.

If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ just say, ‘The Lord needs ¹  it.’”

and said to them, “Go to the village ahead of you. ¹  As soon as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there that has never been ridden. ²  Untie it and bring it here.

Then the Lord answered him, ¹  “You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from its stall, ²  and lead it to water? ³ 

telling them, ¹  “Go to the village ahead of you. ²  When ³  you enter it, you will find a colt tied there that has never been ridden. ⁴  Untie it and bring it here.

He proclaimed, ¹  “One more powerful than I am is coming after me; I am not worthy ²  to bend down and untie the strap ³  of his sandals.

But while John was completing his mission, ¹  he said repeatedly, ²  ‘What do you think I am? I am not he. But look, one is coming after me. I am not worthy to untie the sandals on his feet!’ ³ 

John answered them all, ¹  “I baptize you with water, ²  but one more powerful than I am is coming – I am not worthy ³  to untie the strap ⁴  of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. ⁵ 

Who let the wild donkey go free? Who released the bonds of the donkey,

A relative ¹  offended ²  is harder to reach than ³  a strong city, and disputes are like the barred gates ⁴  of a fortified citadel. ⁵ 

Because God has untied ¹  my tent cord and afflicted me, people throw off all restraint in my presence. ² 

No, this is the kind of fast I want. ¹  I want you ²  to remove the sinful chains, to tear away the ropes of the burdensome yoke, to set free the oppressed, ³  and to break every burdensome yoke.

He answered, “But I see four men, untied and walking around in the midst of the fire! No harm has come to them! And the appearance of the fourth is like that of a god!” ¹ 

He did not speak to them without a parable. But privately he explained everything to his own disciples.

Then ¹  shouldn’t ²  this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan ³  bound for eighteen long ⁴  years, be released from this imprisonment ⁵  on the Sabbath day?”

But God raised him up, ¹  having released ²  him from the pains ³  of death, because it was not possible for him to be held in its power. ⁴
