Then ¹  I looked and heard the voice of many angels in a circle around the throne, as well as the living creatures and the elders. Their ²  number was ten thousand times ten thousand ³  – thousands times thousands –

The women who were playing the music sang, “Saul has struck down his thousands, but David his tens of thousands!”

Then the officers who were over the thousands of the army, the commanders over thousands and the commanders over hundreds, approached Moses

King Belshazzar ¹  prepared a great banquet ²  for a thousand of his nobles, and he was drinking wine in front of ³  them all. ⁴ 

You must send to the battle a thousand men from every tribe throughout all the tribes of Israel.” ¹ 

So a thousand from every tribe, twelve thousand armed for battle in all, were provided out of the thousands of Israel.

A river of fire was streaming forth and proceeding from his presence. Many thousands were ministering to him; Many tens of thousands stood ready to serve him. ¹  The court convened ²  and the books were opened.

And when it came to rest he would say, “Return, O Lord, to the many thousands of Israel!” ¹ 

God has countless chariots; they number in the thousands. ¹  The Lord comes from Sinai in holy splendor. ² 

For every wild animal in the forest belongs to me, as well as the cattle that graze on a thousand hills. ¹ 

Now ¹  when the thousand years are finished, Satan will be released from his prison

David consulted with his military officers, including those who led groups of a thousand and those who led groups of a hundred. ¹ 

Not counting women and children, there were about five thousand men who ate.

Not counting children and women, ¹  there were four thousand men who ate. ² 

Now ¹  there were five thousand men ²  who ate the bread. ³ 

Isn’t this David, of whom they sang as they danced, ¹  ‘Saul has struck down his thousands, but David his tens of thousands’?”

Now, dear friends, do not let this one thing escape your notice, ¹  that a single day is like a thousand years with the Lord and a thousand years are like a single day.

Solomon had 4,000 ¹  stalls for his chariot horses and 12,000 horses.

So the Lord blessed the second part of Job’s life more than the first. He had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys.

How can one man chase a thousand of them, ¹  and two pursue ten thousand; unless their Rock had delivered them up, ²  and the Lord had handed them over?
