and in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, because the sky is red and darkening.’ ¹  You know how to judge correctly the appearance of the sky, ²  but you cannot evaluate the signs of the times.

The clouds poured down rain; ¹  the skies thundered. ²  Yes, your arrows ³  flashed about.

He ¹  said, “When evening comes you say, ‘It will be fair weather, because the sky is red,’

it will remain stable, like the moon, ¹  his throne will endure like the skies.” ²  (Selah)

will you, with him, spread out ¹  the clouds, solid as a mirror of molten metal?

The sky ¹  was split apart ²  like a scroll being rolled up, ³  and every mountain and island was moved from its place.

But now, the sun ¹  cannot be looked at ²  – it is bright in the skies – after a wind passed and swept the clouds away. ³ 

God called the expanse “sky.” ¹  There was evening, and there was morning, a second day.

and let them serve as lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth.” It was so.

which the clouds pour down and shower on humankind abundantly.

He gave a command to the clouds above, and opened the doors in the sky.

when he established the clouds above, when the fountains of the deep grew strong, ¹ 

For just like the lightning flashes ¹  and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day. ² 

He shrouded himself in darkness, ¹  in thick rain clouds. ²

Acknowledge God’s power, ¹  his sovereignty over Israel, and the power he reveals in the skies! ² 

For who in the skies can compare to the Lord? Who is like the Lord among the heavenly beings, ¹ 

“At that time, ¹  I will willingly respond,” ²  declares the Lord. “I will respond to the sky, and the sky ³  will respond to the ground;

God placed the lights ¹  in the expanse of the sky to shine on the earth,

There is no one like God, O Jeshurun, ¹  who rides through the sky ²  to help you, on the clouds in majesty.
