They are soaked by mountain rains and huddle ¹  in the rocks because they lack shelter.

By day it will be a shelter to provide shade from the heat, as well as safety and protection from the heavy downpour. ¹ 

I will be a permanent guest in your home; ¹  I will find shelter in the protection of your wings. ²  (Selah)

As for you, the one who lives ²  in the shelter of the sovereign One, ³  and resides in the protective shadow ⁴  of the mighty king ⁵  –

I will hurry off to a place that is safe from the strong wind ¹  and the gale.”

Indeed, ¹  you are ²  my shelter, a strong tower that protects me from the enemy. ³ 

You hide them with you, where they are safe from the attacks ¹  of men; ²  you conceal them in a shelter, where they are safe from slanderous attacks. ³ 

Each of them ¹  will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from a rainstorm; like streams of water in a dry region and like the shade of a large cliff in a parched land.

Now the Jewish feast of Tabernacles ¹  was near. ² 

The godly will rejoice in the Lord and take shelter in him. All the morally upright ¹  will boast. ² 

For you have taken refuge in the Lord, my shelter, the sovereign One. ¹ 

The wild animals go to their lairs, and in their dens they remain.
