For the things they do ¹  in secret are shameful even to mention.

He would certainly rebuke ¹  you if you secretly ²  showed partiality!

would not God discover it, for he knows ¹  one’s thoughts? ² 

so that your gift may be in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you. ¹ 

so that it will not be obvious to others when you are fasting, but only to your Father who is in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.

A gift given ¹  in secret subdues ²  anger, and a bribe given secretly ³  subdues ⁴  strong wrath. ⁵

The one who goes about slandering others ¹  reveals ²  secrets, but the one who is trustworthy ³  conceals a matter.

Hide me from the plots of evil men, from the crowd of evildoers. ¹ 

‘Cursed is the one who kills ¹  his neighbor in private.’ Then all the people will say, ‘Amen!’

so that my heart was secretly enticed, and my hand threw them a kiss from my mouth, ¹ 

“Stolen waters ¹  are sweet, and food obtained in secret ²  is pleasant!”

The one who goes about gossiping ¹  reveals secrets; therefore do not associate ²  with someone who is always opening his mouth. ³ 

When you argue a case ¹  with your neighbor, do not reveal the secret of another person, ² 

Look, you are wiser than Daniel; ¹  no secret is hidden from you. ² 

But whenever you pray, go into your room, ¹  close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you. ² 

“Now a word was secretly ¹  brought ²  to me, and my ear caught ³  a whisper ⁴  of it.

For nothing is hidden ¹  that will not be revealed, ²  and nothing concealed that will not be made known and brought to light.

The magicians did the same ¹  with their secret arts and brought up frogs on the land of Egypt too. ² 

For God will evaluate every deed, ¹  including every secret thing, whether good or evil.
