So Samuel listened to everything the people said and then reported it to the Lord. ¹ 

The one who forgives ¹  an offense seeks ²  love, but whoever repeats a matter separates close friends. ³ 

Like a dog that returns to its vomit, ¹  so a fool repeats his folly. ² 

When the man ¹  overtook them, he spoke these words to them.

So Jephthah went with the leaders of Gilead. The people made him their leader and commander. Jephthah repeated the terms of the agreement ¹  before the Lord in Mizpah.

The wisest of her ladies ¹  answer; indeed she even thinks to herself,

When David’s words were overheard and reported to Saul, he called for him. ¹ 

I say again, let no one think that I am a fool. ¹  But if you do, then at least accept me as a fool, so that I too may boast a little.

He repeatedly ¹  attacks me, he turns his hand ²  against me all day long. ³

The dream was repeated to Pharaoh ¹  because the matter has been decreed ²  by God, and God will make it happen soon. ³

The Philistines again came up and spread out in the valley of Rephaim.

Let Israel say, “Yes, his loyal love endures!”

They ¹  spat on him and took the staff ²  and struck him repeatedly ³  on the head.

Then ¹  he said to them, “Do you still not understand?” ² 

He went away again and prayed the same thing.

Then ¹  the chief priests began to accuse him repeatedly.

And they began to beg ¹  him not to order ²  them to depart into the abyss. ³
