Do not exploit ¹  a poor person because he is poor and do not crush the needy in court, ² 

Pay attention, all you people, ¹  both rich and poor!

and you must not show partiality ¹  to a poor man in his lawsuit.

A poor person ¹  who oppresses the weak is like ²  a driving rain without food. ³ 

A poor person makes supplications, ¹  but a rich man answers harshly. ² 

The rich and the poor meet together; ¹  the Lord is the creator of them both. ² 

A generous person ¹  will be blessed, ²  for he gives some of his food ³  to the poor.

If a king judges the poor in truth, ¹  his throne ²  will be established forever.

He also saw a poor widow put in two small copper coins. ¹ 

“You must not turn away justice for your poor people in their lawsuits.

If the person is poor you may not use what he gives you as security for a covering. ¹ 

Thus the poor have hope, and iniquity ¹  shuts its mouth. ² 

Wealth adds many friends, but a poor person is separated ¹  from his friend. ² 

Open your mouth, judge in righteousness, ¹  and plead the cause ²  of the poor and needy.

There will never cease to be some poor people in the land; therefore, I am commanding you to make sure you open ¹  your hand to your fellow Israelites ²  who are needy and poor in your land.

However, a poor but wise man lived in the city, ¹  and he could have delivered ²  the city by his wisdom, but no one listened ³  to that poor man.

The one who oppresses ¹  the poor insults ²  his Creator, but whoever shows favor ³  to the needy honors him.

I will abundantly supply what she needs; ¹  I will give her poor all the food they need. ² 

The one who is lazy ¹  becomes poor, ²  but the one who works diligently ³  becomes wealthy. ⁴ 

It is trampled underfoot by the feet of the oppressed, by the soles of the poor.”
