The following is the message ¹  which God revealed to Habakkuk the prophet: ² 

What follows is divine revelation. ¹  The word of the Lord came to Israel through Malachi: ² 

Then he uttered this oracle: ¹  “The oracle ²  of Balaam son of Beor; the oracle of the man whose eyes are open; ³ 

Then he uttered this oracle: ¹  “The oracle of Balaam son of Beor; the oracle of the man whose eyes are open;

The words of King Lemuel, ¹  an oracle ²  that his mother taught him:

The oracle against Nineveh; ¹  the book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite: ² 

In the year King Ahaz died, ¹  this message was revealed: ² 

Actually, there are many advantages. ¹  First of all, ²  the Jews ³  were entrusted with the oracles of God. ⁴ 

¹ This is a message about Babylon that God revealed to Isaiah son of Amoz: ² 

Then he uttered this oracle: “O, who will survive when God does this! ¹ 

This is the man who was in the congregation ¹  in the wilderness ²  with the angel who spoke to him at Mount Sinai, and with our ancestors, ³  and he ⁴  received living oracles ⁵  to give to you. ⁶ 

But just suppose you continue to say, ‘The message of the Lord is burdensome.’ Here is what the Lord says will happen: ‘I sent word to you that you must not say, “The Lord’s message is burdensome.” But you used the words “The Lord’s message is burdensome” anyway.

Here is a message about Damascus: “Look, Damascus is no longer a city, it is a heap of ruins!

Here is a message about Arabia: In the thicket of Arabia you spend the night, you Dedanite caravans.

Here is a message about the Valley of Vision: ¹  What is the reason ²  that all of you go up to the rooftops?

These are the final words of David: “The oracle of David son of Jesse, the oracle of the man raised up as the ruler chosen by the God of Jacob, ¹  Israel’s beloved ²  singer of songs:

The words of Agur, the son of Jakeh; an oracle: ²  This ³  man says ⁴  to Ithiel, to Ithiel and to Ukal: ⁵ 

Balaam ¹  uttered ²  his oracle, and said, “Rise up, ³  Balak, and hear; Listen to me, son of Zippor:

the oracle of the one who hears the words of God, who sees a vision from the Almighty, although falling flat on the ground ¹  with eyes open: ²
