Fire consumed their ¹  young men, and their ²  virgins remained unmarried. ³ 

Five ¹  of the virgins ²  were foolish, and five were wise.

Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.

They raped ¹  women in Zion, virgins in the towns of Judah.

Later, ¹  the other virgins came too, saying, ‘Lord, lord! Let us in!’ ²

These are the ones who have not defiled themselves ¹  with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These were redeemed from humanity as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb,
