so that your gift may be in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you. ¹ 

But whenever you pray, go into your room, ¹  close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you. ² 

and to enlighten ¹  everyone about God’s secret plan ²  – a secret that has been hidden for ages ³  in God ⁴  who has created all things.

Do you listen in on God’s secret council? ¹  Do you limit ²  wisdom to yourself?

“Stolen waters ¹  are sweet, and food obtained in secret ²  is pleasant!”

A gift given ¹  in secret subdues ²  anger, and a bribe given secretly ³  subdues ⁴  strong wrath. ⁵ 

When you argue a case ¹  with your neighbor, do not reveal the secret of another person, ² 

For God will evaluate every deed, ¹  including every secret thing, whether good or evil.

Look, you are wiser than Daniel; ¹  no secret is hidden from you. ² 

that ¹  by revelation the divine secret ²  was made known to me, as I wrote before briefly. ³ 

When reading this, ¹  you will be able to ²  understand my insight into this secret ³  of Christ.

For the things they do ¹  in secret are shameful even to mention.

so that it will not be obvious to others when you are fasting, but only to your Father who is in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.

The magicians did the same ¹  with their secret arts and brought up frogs on the land of Egypt too. ² 

Although you have acted in secret, I will do this thing before all Israel, and in broad daylight.’” ¹ 

“O earth, do not cover my blood, ¹  nor let there be a secret ²  place for my cry.

Suddenly ¹  a woman came out to meet him! She was dressed like a prostitute ²  and with secret intent. ³ 

Nothing is hidden ¹  that will not be revealed, ²  and nothing is secret that will not be made known.

Then Pharaoh also summoned wise men and sorcerers, ¹  and the magicians ²  of Egypt by their secret arts ³  did the same thing.

When ¹  the magicians attempted ²  to bring forth gnats by their secret arts, they could not. So there were gnats on people and on animals.
